The strongest of all teas: stimulant, source of concentration, and a piece of colonial history
Black tea provides energy, the queen drinks hers at 5 and the East Frisians drink theirs all day. It is available in the most magnificent and unique variations. One of the most important region for black tea is Darjeeling. A rapidly growing area in northeastern India among the Himalayan foothills, from which the name of this “champagne of tea” is derived. Black tea originates from the plant known as Camelia Sinensis, which is then fermented or oxidized to different extents, therefore resulting in differences in color and taste.
